RESPONSIBLE TANNING
We strictly adhere to the Sunbed Act (2010) and under 18’s are NOT permitted to purchase UV packages or minutes online and will NOT be permitted to use UV services in-store*. If you are lucky enough to look under 21, we will ask you for proof of age in store before we will allow you to use UV tanning equipment. Please don’t be offended if you are asked, this is for your safety. This would need to be photo ID in the form of a passport, driving license or PASS card and include a date of birth.
No person under 18 years of age are permitted to use the UV tanning equipment or enter tanning units or changing areas. There can only be one person in a tanning room when the equipment is active.
At the Loves2Tan we take responsible tanning seriously. We provide a FREE tanning consultation service to all clients in store which reviews a client’s skin type and recommends responsible tanning options.
You must leave a minimum of 24 hours between tanning session. You will be refused use of our UV tanning if there is less than 24 hours between sessions. The European Standard advises you do not exceed 60 sessions per year.
You must use eye protection on every visit. We provide free disposable eye wear in every tanning room. Please use these to protect your eyes every time you tan.
WHO CAN USE UV SUNBEDS?
If you are undergoing medical treatment or have photosensitive skin, you must consult a medical professional before using our equipment.
If you are pregnant, we will not permit the use of our UV tanning equipment. We will not allow anyone within their first trimester to use our Spray Tanning booths under any circumstance, if you wish to use the booths in your second or third trimester, we will require you to sign a disclaimer form in store.
If you have, or plan to have Botox or Dermal Fillers, we strongly advise speaking to a medical professional or your practitioner prior to using any UV tanning equipment.
Sunbed tanning systems should be treated with the same caution as normal sunlight. A tan should be built gradually, particularly if you have sensitive skin.
You must not use our tanning equipment if you have already been sunbathing in natural sunlight or had another sunbed that day (or plan to).
Never repeat tanning treatment if any signs of redness remain from previous sunbathing or tanning.
If you have an excessive number of moles (over 50) or have anyone in your immediate family who has had skin cancer you should seek medical advice before using UV Tanning equipment.
Do not use if you suffer from: ill effects from normal sunbathing, epilepsy, giddiness or fainting, headaches or migraine, heart condition, blood pressure, hypertension, prickly heat, cold sores, allergies, skin ulcers
Do not UV tan if you have had any of the following treatments in the last 24 hours; hot waxing, tattooing, bleaching, laser hair removal or electrolysis
By using our equipment, you acknowledge your understanding that using tanning services may result in skin ageing and potentially increase the risk associated with certain skin cancers.
Persons with sensitive skin or no existing tan should restrict their first few sunbed sessions to a maximum of six minutes. It is also advised that cosmetics, perfumes and deodorants should not be worn during treatment.
Alcohol consumption or use or illegal substances is not permitted before or during your session, if for any reason a member of our team feels you may be under the influence you may be turned away from your appointment.
ONLINE PURCHASES
The below terms and conditions in the section, are in relation to the purchase, attempted purchase and handling of minutes, packages and sessions. Terms used include ‘customer’ ‘customers’ (you, the user), ‘service provider’ (Loves2Tan) and ‘services’ (packages, minutes and sessions).
The customer (you, the user) will not attempt to purchase or utilise UV services if they are under the age of 18. Customers under the age of 18 are not permitted to purchase, attempt to purchase or attempt to utilise services relating to UV, the customer will also not be permitted to use any of the UV services within our salons.
The customer (you, the user) must be over 18 to use a sunbed. Persons under 18 years will not be allowed to use sunbeds at Loves2Tan. We enforce a Challenge 21 policy in our stores. If the customer (you, the user) is lucky enough to look under 21 they will be asked to prove they are over 18 before they can tan at The Tanning Shop. Accepted forms of ID must include a date of birth and are;
Passport
Driving licence
“PASS” (Proof of Age Standards Scheme) card
Packages can be purchased in-store or online, packages are allocated on your account to the store you purchase them for. All packages have a 12-month expiry date from the date of purchase. Packages cannot be shared between customers.
Package Minutes can be used in any of our company-owned stores on equipment of equal or lower value. If you wish to tan in a store which is more expensive than your store package then you will need to convert your package to the more expensive store, this may result in a loss of minutes after the conversion. Alternatively, you can pay as you go in the more expensive store instead of using your package minutes. Packages purchased in Franchise Stores can only be used in that store.
REFUND POLICY – ONLINE PURCHASES
Customers will have 14 days cooling off period from the day of their online purchase to request a refund. If no minutes have been used then the refund will be in full, if some minutes have been used then refund will be for the remaining minutes. Please note, if all minutes have been used then no refund will be available within the cooling off period.
The refund request is within 14 days of purchasing the service online.
Please note that if the incorrect package is purchased online customers will have the option to exchange the minutes to a suitable package.
EXPIRATION OF MINUTES, SESSIONS & MEMBERSHIPS
Please note that packages and minutes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Memberships are valid for 31 days from the date of purchase.
We may be able to pause packages in exceptional circumstances which mean you are not able to use the entire package in the 12-month period.
We may also be able to pause memberships in exceptional circumstances. However, these requests must be sent in writing Info@loves2tan.com . Please note a Monthly Unlimited Package can only be paused twice. Evidence of these circumstances may be requested and this provision is at the discretion of Loves2Tan.
This must be done via customer services at info@loves2tan.com and is assessed on a case-by-case basis. You may be asked to provide supporting evidence such as a doctor’s note for us to do this. We reserve the right to refuse extension of packages or memberships. Memberships can be extended twice as a maximum.”
MEMBERSHIPS
Memberships (Unlimited Monthly Package) are only available to purchase in store and are valid for 31 days from the date of purchase. When using a membership, please be aware that customers must follow our responsible tanning guidelines and leave at least 24 hours between sessions. Memberships are excluded from all forms of discount. A Monthly Unlimited Package can only be put on hold twice.
TRANSFER OF MINUTES
Requests to transfer minutes to an alternative store must be made in writing via email to customer services at info@loves2tan.com. Loss of minutes may occur when you transfer to more expensive shops, you will be advised at the time of transfer and must give consent for us to do this.
REFUNDS
UV and Spray services: Refunds are only available for medical reasons upon receipt of a valid medical certificate. All refund requests must be processed through our customer service team at info@loves2tan.com, proof of purchase may be required to process a refund.
Lotions: Our lotion return policy allows you to return a lotion to the store in which it was purchased, within 14 days of purchase, if the product is faulty. The return request will then be passed to our Customer Services Team who will review the request during office hours. A refund or exchange may then be offered, provided that the product is faulty and is unused and in the same condition you received it. We reserve the right to refuse returns and refunds.
LOTIONS
Please note that a customer lotion storage facility is provided in our stores, this is a gesture of goodwill and we regret that we cannot be held responsible for any losses whatsoever. Any lotion left instore is left at the customers own risk. Customers can leave lotions for a maximum period of 12 months from purchase date. We reserve the right to remove and dispose of lotion without notice after 12 months.
We respectfully request that clients do not use Tingle or Oil-based lotions when using our UV Sunbeds. These lotions can affect the acrylics on the beds. The Tanning Shop reserve the right to ban lotions from use in their stores that are not fit for use on UV tanning beds.
If you have an allergy or sensitivity, we advise you check lotion ingredients carefully before use.
DAMAGE/LOSS OF CLIENT PROPERTY
You must keep all property and belongings with you in the studio at all times. It is also the customers responsibility to check the room before leaving to ensure they take all ther property with them. Please note that Loves2Tan cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage to clients’ property whilst on the premises.
CHANGES TO PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Clients are required to inform Loves2Tan immediately of any change in circumstances that affect their eligibility to use UV equipment. This would include any changes to their medical history for example pregnancy, a change in medication or diagnosis of a new medical condition.
CHANGES TO CLIENTS ACCOUNTS
Please note that any changes to clients’ accounts can be made via the online My Account section. If you need any assistance with this please speak to a member of our team in store.
APPOINTMENTS
We politely ask all clients to arrive at the salon at least 5 minutes prior to their appointment time. Due to the popularity of equipment, we are unable to hold your appointment if you do not arrive on time, priority will be granted to the next client in the queue/walk-in session. We will however endeavour to accommodate you in the next available slot or on alternative equipment.
PROMOTIONS
ALL OFFER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Loves2Tan reserve the right to withdraw offers at any point.
SMS OFFERS
Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Offer not valid on unlimited memberships. Must be used within the specified time period.
FACEBOOK COMPETITIONS
Facebook competitions run at Loves2Tan. All winners will be contacted via Facebook or Instagram directly by our main page. We will NOT ask for any bank details to redeem a prize unless the prize is a cash prize. Our promotions are in no way endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook directly. Winners will always be chosen at random unless otherwise specified.
LEAFLET AND PROMOTIONS
The duration of leaflets or offline promotions/discounts is 12 months.
GIFT CARDS
Gift cards can only be redeemed in store. Not available to use against online purchase. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from purchase.
